Underwater Photography and Video
Duration: 8 days / 24 hours total. Date: 11 – 18 August 2002. Instructor: Dr. Murat Egi

In this workshop participants will be skin diving, in order to get footage for the digital workshops. Skin diving is essential for observing organisms in there natural habitat and also working in underwater archeological sites. Scuba diving will also be provided for those interested with an additional charge of 150 US$.

Dr. Murat Egi is the head of the Istanbul University Underwater Technologies Program. His underwater studies have been published in National Geographic and international Medical and Biomedical magazines. Murat Egi has made underwater videos in many places around the world such as Van Lake, The Bahamas, The Red Sea, Florida and Marsaille.

The workshops will be held in English and Turkish on PC and Mac computers. Participation is limited to 12 persons.There will also be a scholarship given to one of the participants. The skin diving sessions are free for the participants of the digital workshops. Those participating in all of the A or B series will receive a 30% discount for the workshops.

 

Gumusluk Academy also has housing facilities for 17.50 US$– full pension, including breakfast and lunch.  

All participants will receive a certificate at the end of the workshop. This program is created in collaboration with Istanbul Contemporary Art Museum, ISCAM.
