The Digital Design Workshop focuses on the creation and/or alteration of two dimensional images on the computer. The workshop aims to bring simple imaging solutions for daily life practices as well as providing the grounds for contemporary art creation. Participants will take reference from examples on the Web. This will help them examine digital art from a different perspective and thus make their own practices more productive.

The workshop will be on both theoretical and practical levels. Participants will learn the basics of image editing programs such as Photoshop, and Fireworks. In the end, all works will be exhibited and participants will be guided to get in touch with International Art Communities

Tina La Porta,  is teaching at the New York Institute of Technology and School of Visual Arts.

Tim Hailey is a contemporary artist as well as a curator at Here Art NY.

The workshops will be held in English and Turkish on PC and Mac computers. Participation is limited to 12 persons.There will also be a scholarship given to one of the participants. The skin diving sessions are free for the participants of the digital workshops. Those participating in all of the A or B series will receive a 30% discount for the workshops.

 

Gumusluk Academy also has housing facilities for 17.50 US$– full pension, including breakfast and lunch.  

All participants will receive a certificate at the end of the workshop. This program is created in collaboration with Istanbul Contemporary Art Museum, ISCAM.
